Start: Orbost, Victoria Finish: Port Melbourne, Victoria
Date: 15th June 2022 Distance: 385 kms Weather: Cold, Clear Time Taken: 7 Hours 0 Minutes Terrain: Hilly Road: Twisties
Started the ride around 9am. First stop was a honesty shop for honey. Never seen this before. It was also pretty high tech with cameras and all. Deer country has started. Reached lakes entrance. Stopped at a view point past lake entrance overlooking the town. We have to catch the Ferry for Tasmania so have to get to Port Melbourne on time. Also, there is a projection for rain so trying to avoid getting wet. Stopped at bakery cafe in Mafra for a quick lunch. As we passed Pakenham we faced the worst cross winds in Australia. I nearly got blown out. When I stopped at BP truck shop for fuel and caught up with Nikool. He had the same experiences. I had faced all kinds of situations but nothing like this. We finally reached Port Melbourne at 3:50pm, 40 mins ahead. Grabbed a coffee while we waited. Finally boarded the ship. So many people looked at us with surprise as we were headed to Tassie (Cold) on bike at this time of the year. Got our bikes strapped and settled down in our room. Celebrations were in order as I had just finished the loop of Australia.
