Started fresh after a day break and surprise of seeing my nephew Arjun. Just out of cairns there are miles of Sugarcane plantation all the way up-to Townsville. Just coming out of cairns I also saw a lot of hills and mountains passing by Queensland’s highest and second highest mountains. Beautiful landscape, felt like I was in Fiji. Next is banana plantations, plenty of them. Also stopped by a “banana stall”, it’s like a honesty shop were you pick up the bananas and drop the money in a box. Had a couple of bananas for snack. Then stopped for coffee at a rest stop where a couple had a food truck parked there. Had a chat with them and nice coffee. Stopped at Cardwell for lunch. Veggie burger again. Pacific coast way begins here. A1 is align with PCW from here on. Other several stops and then reached Townsville. Hot and humid day. Had to take multiple stops. Finished the day with a veg korma and rice at Delicious Indian Restaurant.
