As I started riding out of Townsville I started seeing a lot of sugarcane fields again. It drizzled as I just got out of town. There were sugarcane plantations throughout the route. Also came across sections of mango plantations around Bowen which is known for Kensington Pride. Saw the big mango at the visitor Center as well. Too many tourist places along the route. Passed by The Whitsundays as well. Overall a hot and humid day which made it harder to ride. A lot of roadworks as well. Arrived at MacKay at around 5pm. Checked in and got Burrito from zambrero for dinner.
